Externship Program

Equitom offers an externship program to motivated Veterinary Master Students.

Due to our very large caseload, this program gives the student a unique opportunity to obtain an excellent clinical experience and  to gather a large amount of information regarding veterinary medicine.

Accepted candidates will have the chance to follow equine specialists in surgery, anesthesiology, orthopedics, medical imaging, internal medicine, ophthalmology and podiatry.

The externship will be organised on a rotational basis in all departments of our clinic:

• Surgery
• Orthopedics and rehabilitation
• Medical imaging
• Internal medicine
• Hospitalization

To be eligible for this coveted position, candidates must be in their Masters of veterinary medicine. (Bachelor students are unfortunatly not eligable for an externship).

Candidates also need to master the English language (speak, comprehend and write).
Knowledge of Dutch, French and or German is a plus.

The externship program is for a period of minimum 2 weeks to maximum 6 weeks.
Positions are scarce as every month, only six candidates will be selected.
