Bidou presented with an atypical dental infection and chronic sinusitis, caused by a complete blockage of the natural drainage between the sinus and the nasal cavity. As a result, one of the classic warning signs, purulent nasal discharge, was entirely absent. ‼️

🦷 The purulent material produced by the infected tooth had no way out and became trapped inside the sinus. The increasing pressure led to skull deformity and the formation of fistulas. Fortunately, the body encapsulated the infection in a large abscess, preventing it from spreading to the brain or other organs.

During surgery, the affected tooth was removed and the sinus was thoroughly flushed to eliminate all infected tissue. A new drainage opening towards the nasal passage was also created to restore normal drainage and prevent recurrence.

Today, Bidou is back to enjoying life, pain-free, and in great shape. 💙
