Sinus- and head surgery

We treat a large number of horses with complicated head pathologies such as broken and/or infected teeth, sinusitis, ethmoid hematomas, sinus cysts, congenital ectopic teeth, cancer, wounds and fractures.

An accurate diagnosis is very important before the surgery. In some cases a standing CT is performed prior to the surgery to obtain a detailed 3D view about the head.

This highly detailed information allows the surgeon to assess whether surgery is feasible. The preoperative CT scan significantly increases the chance of surgery's success and significantly reduces the risk of recurrence or complications.
